wildlife proof boxes, Oil Creek
Oil Creek State Park has added a steel box at each shelter area to store food: no more need to hang a bear bag. They are adjacent to the firewood storage buildings. Has anyone seen these at other places in PA?

There is also a locked drop box now at Cow Run, and I assume Wolfkiel, in the firewood area for donations. I dropped a few dollars this past weekend to help the "Friends of Oil Creek State Park." Please donate if you can, as the firewood is cut by volunteers and not by park staff, and is a wonderful asset to winter backpacking in our area.

On our christmas eve trip, the wood shelter at Cow Run was stocked over half full with split wood, and with low attendance this time of year there should still be plenty. has anyone been to Wolfkiel recently to give a wood report?
